a cute little storage idea

I found an interesting DIY which uses plastic bottles, on Denise’s blog. Artist and presenter, Denise Meneghello is specialized in decorating, recycling, DIY and tips for good living. So… if the pieces of your make-up set or if other indispensable products need being stored, why don’t you consider this creative and original idea: recipients made out of plastic bottles! All you need are some small plastic bottles, a knife, a pair of scissors and a hot iron. By the aid of the knife, remove the upper part of the bottle (the one to which is usually capped), correct the imperfections with the scissors, and place the hot iron on the mouth of the remaining bottle so to strengthen and uniformize the opening of the recipient. Enjoy !

bling 'em out

Bling 'em out,
computers, art, coin banks, FLATS!

How to bling out your "small" old flats to make big new statement.

here' what you will need:
fake jewels
E-6000 (though i recommend super glue)
a couple toothpicks (to keep the glue neat)
newspaper
and a little imagination and time :)
optional: tape

steps:

1. lay out your newspaper and supplies and flats.
if needed tape the newspaper down.

2. arrange your jewels on newspaper to experiment with ideas to get your imagination flowing.

3. once you've decided on a design put it on your flats DON'T GLUE YET to see if any changes need to be made.

4. my favorite part time to glue them on 1 at a time to keep from messing up
(tip use toothpick to keep it neat and to keep glue from showing around your jewel.) use a dap of glue on each jewel.

5. do the same with the other flat.!

6. wait overnight for it to dry the go out and show off your masterpiece.

comment your ideas for my next arts and craft post

store photos simply

Scrap booking is a great way to keep those photos that are lying around the house all in order.  Grab the kids and have them help you out with i don't know the catchy phrases at the top of each page or half page. Then use paste [if you have kids with you use washable glue] or a hot glue gun to firmly place the photos. Then have kids help decorate and if you don't want them to place any thing in a certain spot then decorate that part on your own first. If it helps give them boundaries like don't put anything on the pictures and or words or like nothing can stick off the page or whatever you think is a boundary.
happy scrapping!!

perler, hama, and melty beads [fun fusion]

people call them anything like: Perler, Hama, and Melty beads depending on where they live, they easy for small hands to grab and put on the peg board. These beads can come in glow in the dark or safari, rain forest, tropical, etc. colors even kits in a separated by color organizer but that one doesn't come with the boards.
The boards come in many shapes, sizes, also colors.
After the design is created you cover with iron paper then iron 20-30 seconds or to manufactures directions. Have fun creating!!!!
